To perform a set of bench leg raise:
Lie supine on a bench with your arms holding the bench behind your head and your legs straight out in the air. The trunk should be on the bench in a neutral position.
Keeping your legs straight, raise them both until your legs are perpendicular to the ground and at 90 degrees with your trunk. It is important to breahte normally and keep your neutral trunk position throughout the entire movement.
Pause at the top position for a 1sec count.
With your legs straight, lower them back down until you can no longer keep the neutral trunk position or they are parallel to the ground. Remember to breathe normally throughout the entire movement.
Repeat steps 1 through 4 until you have completed the desired number of bench leg raise repetitions before resting your feet on the ground.
This completes one set of bench leg raise.
